Go beyond with four fantastic new teas!

  • January 31, 2012

This month, we’re thrilled to announce the launch of four delicious new teas: Premium Korean Green, Decaffeinated Green, Masala Chai, and Rooibos Chai that will take you beyond ordinary into a world of flavor!  Made with pure ingredients, these flavorful, perfectly balanced teas are sourced from some of the most beautiful places on earth and specially blended to take you beyond your horizons and delight your senses.

Our Premium Korean Green comes from Jeju Island in South Korea, also known as “Island of the Gods.” Jeju Island’s beautiful scenery with caves, waterfalls, and beaches makes it a popular tourist destination and its fertile volcanic soil and subtropical forests offers rich tea-growing terroir. This pristine isle is a protected World Heritage site, creating a unique and pure origin for this tea. Premium Korean Green has a bright light green color, a distinct vegetal aroma, and a lush flavor. It is steamed, rolled, and dried in the Sencha tradition and is the only tea available from this source in a tea bag. As our first and only tea from South Korea, Premium Korean Green reflects our ongoing objective to offer high-quality teas from around the world. We think you’ll find it tastes unlike any other green tea you’ve tried before.

Our Decaffeinated Green is a bright, crisp green tea from the mountains in North India. It is gently decaffeinated using carbon dioxide, the only certified organic method.  While tea drinkers sometimes expect decaf teas to be less flavorful than their caffeinated counterparts, we think you’ll be surprised at its smooth and satisfying taste.

Our Masala Chai is made of malty, black Assam tea from India’s Brahmaputra River Valley blended with masala spices including cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, and clove. This chai has a dark amber color and a rich, bold flavor. Delicious on its own or paired with milk and sweetener, take a trip to India with this authentic cup.

Our Rooibos Chai pairs sweet and earthy rooibos from South Africa with traditional masala spices.  It’s an untraditional twist on Chai that results in a warming, caffeine free treat. The rooibos comes from the Cederberg mountains and valleys in South Africa, where it’s harvested by the Driefontein Small Farmers’ Cooperative that are not only certified organic and Fair Trade, but utilize strict sustainability standards. Try this try chai with milk and sweetener if you like, or drink it straight.

Discover the world one cup at a time and let us know what you think!
