New Original Boxes

We’ve made some improvements to our Original Line packaging. Can you spot the changes?

  • New 100% Organic logo added – All of our teas are certified organic by the USDA (95% organic ingredient minimum) and most of our teas qualify as 100% organic
  • New Gluten-Free Certified logo added
  • Non-GMO logo added to front panel
  • Updated Fair Trade Certified logos stating percentage of Fair Trade ingredients

Even though our third-party certifier does not require it, we added the percentage of Fair Trade ingredients under the front logo as part of our commitment to higher transparency. Most of our teas are Fair Trade Certified and many are 100% Fair Trade Certified. The only exceptions are teas that contain ingredients sourced from countries where the Fair Trade certification program is not available, such as the U.S. and Japan.

We hope that these improvements will further communicate our dedication to high quality teas that are socially and environmentally responsible.

  • Hi! I love your teas, especially the genmaicha and roast green tea, which I have been buying for years. Unfortunately, the last box of genmaicha I bought every tea bag came undone and the loose tea all came out, ruining every cup. I hope the next box I buy will not be like that!

    Thank you for reaching out with your concerns. We apologize for the inconvenience you’ve experienced and thank you for being such a loyal customer!
    Our production team is aware of the tea bags opening due to a brief production issue where the tension on our tea bag machine was off (like a sewing machine) and the knot was tied too close to the edge, resulting in sub-par tea bags that were prone to coming open when steeped.
    You’ll be happy to know that we had a technician visit us from Italy to fix this problem recently. Unfortunately, there might be some residual tea bags out there that you may find in the future before all of the stock is rotated through.
    We’d definitely like to get you a replacement box if possible. Please send your address by e-mail to and we’ll get a new box sent to you!
